     On January 13th, the summary meeting of the national key R&D project "Mechanism and Technology for Reducing and Controlling Agricultural Non-Point Source Pollution from Nitrogen through High-efficiency and Long-term Nitrogen" hosted by Henan Xinlianxin Chemical Industry Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Xinlianxin Group) was held at the China Nitrogen Fertilizer Industry (Xinlianxin) Technical Research Center. President Jie Xiaolei of Henan Agricultural University, Director Zhao Peng of the Academic Affairs Office of Henan Agricultural University, and Associate Dean Liu Shiliang of the School of Resources and Environment of Henan Agricultural University attended the meeting. The nine sub-projects in the project team are responsible for research on the transport mechanisms of agricultural nitrogen sources from different sources in soil and agro-ecosystems, development of high-efficiency and long-term nitrogen products, and research and model establishment of integrated technical modes for high-efficiency and long-term nitrogen. The aim is to develop a set of agricultural non-point source pollution reduction and control technical regulations applicable to farmland in the northern Huang-Huai-Hai region, and to achieve a reduction of more than 40% in nitrogen leaching losses and ammonia emissions under the guidance of this set of technical regulations. As of now, the "non-point source pollution" project has entered the mid-term stage, and with the joint efforts of the nine sub-projects, the project team has achieved phased results. President Jie Xiaolei and the attending expert reviewers reviewed the completion status of each sub-project and made important instructions and suggestions for the next steps to lay a foundation for achieving the project's ultimate goal of "double reduction by 40%". In the remaining two years, Xinlianxin Group will work with the other eight sub-projects to strengthen top-level design, enhance horizontal communication and integration between projects, and make our technical products become industrialized, practical, and truly beneficial to farmers and society. ` After the meeting, the expert teachers visited Xinlianxin Group's super-controlled urea production line and technical integration experimental field to inspect the mid-term results of the project team on-site.
